The potter's art joins with the convenience of microwave cooking in this handcrafted bacon cooker from 321 Pottery. Custom glazing highlights the detailed carving on the handle and saucer rim, making this a piece you'll want to keep on display. To use, simply drape a few slices of bacon over the rim then microwave till the bacon is cooked to your liking. The fat drips into the base, and can then be easily poured into a storage container. 321 Pottery is the work of lawyer turned potter Matt Powelson. As an attorney, Matt's specialty is trademark and copyright law, but in his Georgia studio, his focus is functional production pottery inspired by a mix of western landscapes, modern architecture, and industrial design. He makes his own lead-free glazes, and all work is safe for the microwave and dishwasher as well as the oven as long as you preheat the piece starting in a cool oven. Due to handcrafting and the dynamic nature of high-fired glazes, variations and minor imperfections should be expected.
Each cooker is approximately 6 high. The base is 7 across. The top is 4.4 across. And weighs 2.75 pounds. Each cooker holds about 7-8 pieces of bacon.
