Restaurant Style Salsa Ingredients

  • 2 cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes
  • yellow onion
  • 1 chipotle in adobo sauce
  • teaspoon salt
  • juice from 1 lime
  • small handful of cilantro

SUBSTITUTIONS

  • You add in two to three garlic cloves as well.
  • A half teaspoon of sugar can also help enhance the flavors beautifully.
  • Cumin is another great option to add, youll only need about a teaspoon.

ADD-INS: You can add black beans or corn into this recipe as well. Just add in after blending, before serving.

SPICY: Add jalapeno to the mix for an extra spicy kick! You can take the seeds out for a more mild spice or leave them in for lots of heat.

What Tomatoes to Use for Restaurant Style Salsa

I used fire-roasted diced tomatoes because I love the flavor it adds.

You can also use fresh tomatoes, regular diced tomatoes or whole tomatoes with juice.

If you add tomatoes without flavor, I would suggest also add a can of Rotel in to help give it more spice and flavor.

STEP ONE: Place all of the ingredients into the 5 cup jug blender chopper.

STEP TWO: Blend until desired consistency is reached. You can blend this as much or as little as youd like for a chunkier or smoother texture is reached.
