Olivia and Stephanie planned every single detail of that table, from the chairs inspired by Parisian restaurants, to the Oriente Italiano Ginori hand painted green plates, the elegant glassware and with the help of Shhh My Darling the perfect menu card was created. Shhh My Darling‘s motto was “If you can’t beat them, join them”. The artwork was drawn with the design and the colors from the plate theme and shaped into a traditional Oriental fan, embellished with a dark green tassel. The result is a non-invasive item, elegant and cohesive to the table. Lots of candles and refined brass abat-jour were the main light on the table which created a totally intimate and romantic atmosphere with the Villa facade as a backdrop and the view of Florence framing the whole terrace where the dinner took place.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
This is the story of two physicians who were meant to choose each other forever. Mutual friends, who organized their first rendez-vous, thought that they were perfect for each other.. and guess what? They were totally right about it! Also Stephanie and Justin knew for the very beginning, there was something between them and from that moment they were never apart again. After Stephanie’s final residency year, they flew to Europe for a grand tour of celebration, starting from Copenhagen. The first part of their trip was planned by both of them but the second one was Justin’s surprise for Stephanie. Summer time, Europe, everything was magical and Justin’s plan was even more magical. They ended up in the city of love: Paris. It was the day of the liberation of the Bastille and Justin booked a super nice hotel for them, in central Paris, with a cute little balcony where they could see everything from the famous parisian roofs. While Paris was already celebrating, Justin decided that there was no more suitable place and time than that: it was THE moment. He kneeled down and proposed to Stephanie on the romantic little balcony framed by the sparkling light of Paris. The answer was of course YES! It was meant to be! They walked all night in Paris’s streets celebrating the Bastille and their love, kissing and dancing in front of Montmartre church watching the superb fireworks. Isn’t it a romantic story?

The aperitivo was set inside the Italian garden, so perfectly shaped that it didn’t need any decorations, beside the super curated food and drink corners designed by Desinare. The dinner took place at the sunset hour with an orange gold light highlighting the decorations of their long table. Italian simple and delicious courses delighted the guests. The couple made their entrance encased by a cloud of white rose petals thrown from above, a little surprise from their closest friends.

The ceremony was planned inside the green-washed limonaia where Jardin Divers built a stunning broken arch of greenery and white flowers perfectly matching the allure of the Limonia’s walls to frame the couple while they renewed their vows in front of their beloved ones. The ceremony was short but full of joy, emotions, tears and laughter. After the ceremony, the altar decor became the perfect spot for a photo booth – the girls loved it!

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Once dinner was over, they all got up to watch the cake cut, later followed by the surprise fireworks show that marked their love, just as they did in Paris.
And then after two years of waiting for their elegant, classy, romantic destination wedding, Stephanie and Justin with eyes full of love, danced their first dance: At Last by Etta James under a sky lit by the fireworks.

A Dixie Italian band as a background playing the couple’s most favorite sounds. It was magnificent. It was just as they had imagined, authentic. The same band escorted, while marching, the guests through the stairs decorated with falling greenery up on the top garden where the seated dinner was set.

Guests were invited on a sunny August afternoon to enter from Villa di Maiano‘s Italian garden where they were gifted with a custom fan by Shhh My Darling with their name on it as an escort card.
