Today I am sharing our classy patriotic decor ideas on our patio without looking gaudy. I recently decked out my patio for featuring classy patriotic decorating ideas and if you look closely, you will notice that I used non patriotic themed pillows and decor with the exception of the planter flags and flag throw pillow. Patriotic Patio Decor
First I started with the seating. You can use whatever outdoor furniture you have (This set is VERY affordable and has great ratings) . If you prefer a sectional that is affordable, try this one.
These classy patriotic decor ideas on our patio are easy to implement and you can recreate this look very easily. Whether you have a big or small outdoor space, find a corner that allows you to create a cozy seating area and anchor the space with an outdoor rug.
The easiest way to achieve a classy patriotic patio is to use red, white and blue throw pillows and planters. Notice how I used red striped pillows and solid blue / checkered pillows.
They are not “patriotic throw pillows” but they represent the red, white and blue color scheme. Pretty simple right?
Red White and Blue Decor
You will notice I used a blue rug that is perfect for Memorial Day or the 4th of July but is also perfect for the entire Summer. I mean, who doesn’t love a blue rug?!
Memorial Day and 4th of July decorations do not need to be gaudy looking. Stick to these easy patriotic decor ideas and you will end up with a classy and sophisticated patio.
I am not a fan of loads of ribbon and honestly, less is more when creating a patriotic themed patio.
I am a huge proponent of bringing the indoors outdoors and creating outdoor living spaces that are cozy and warm just like you would inside your home.
I have a large outdoor storage container that I store the indoor patio decor (throw blankets ect.) in which allows me to add indoor elements easily when entertaining.
Best Patriotic Decorations – Beverage Station
Adjacent to the seating area, we have a small pool house that has vinyl cedar shakes and it was the perfect backdrop for the patriotic beverage station.
Another fun patriotic decor idea (and if you want to go the extra mile) is to find a cute backdrop (could be greenery, a house wall or even a pool) to place your table in front of and simply add patriotic decor to the wall or along the table. The banners are really cute and helped add a little pizzazz to the table.
I used a plastic folding table and covered it with a red striped throw blanket. I used 3M command strips to hang the wooden America sign as well as the patriotic paper fans. You can either buy the paper fans or make your own. An easy patriotic decor idea is to make your own patriotic crafts. They are fun and easy to make.
The tiered tray is perfect for snacks and treats and a great way to display red, white and blue decor.
Small blue star containers filled with chocolate covered popcorn is a sweet snack that most everyone will love.

Creating a patriotic tablescape is easier than you think. All I did was fill a blue ice bucket with geraniums and added a couple flags. It took about 2 minutes!
The table setting consists of white and blue melamine dishes, layered red and blue placemats and blue checkered napkins that are actually dish towels! I thought they were super cute and coordinated perfectly.

Patriotic Decor Ideas on our Patio
